Lipidomics Service in Plant
INQUIRYIntroductions
Lipids are a large class of compounds that are easily soluble in organic solvents and are non-uniform in chemical composition and structure. It mainly includes the following eight categories (named in the LIPID MAPS system): fatty acids (such as linoleic acid, arachidic acid), glycerolipids (such as TG, DG), glycerophospholipids (such as PC, PE, PG, PA, etc.), sphingolipids (such as Cer, SM, etc.), sterol lipids (such as sterol lipids), glycolipids (such as MGDG, SQDG, etc.), pregnenolone lipids (such as CoA, etc.), polyketides. Lipidomics is a branch of metabolomics, which is mainly based on the high-throughput LC-MS/MS technology platform to systematically study the composition and expression changes of lipids in organisms. Then clarify the biological activity mechanism and principle of lipid family or lipid molecules, and the discipline of their role in protein expression and gene regulation. Lipidomics also plays a very important role in plant molecular breeding. For example, it is used as an auxiliary method to study the biological or abiotic stress of plants, the study of growth and development, and the study of crop nutritional quality.

Sample requirements
- Sample type
- Sample mix
- Sample weight and repeat
- Storage and transportation
Cells with medium removed, leaves, stems, flowers, etc.
If the separation conditions are not available in the field, the pulp and peel of the fruit should be transferred to the room as soon as possible (within 30 minutes), and the separated sample should be placed in liquid nitrogen, and then stored at -80°C.
Each sample is mixed from at least 3 samples with the same conditions. For example, we need to collect samples from three plants with the same phenotype at the same time and at the same location, and then mix them.
For fresh and clean plant samples, it is recommended that each sample is ≥ 200 mg, and prepare 6 or more biological replicates.
After collecting the sample, put it in liquid nitrogen immediately and store it at -80°C.
Dry ice transportation (about 3~4 kg of dry ice is consumed every day, please use sufficient dry ice for transportation).
Project cycle
- It takes 60~90 working days to complete the standard process.
Feedback to customers
- Raw data
- A project report includes experimental procedures, related mass spectrometry parameters, partial mass spectrometry pictures, raw data, and metabolomics analysis results
