Our breeding platform
- Tissue culture. We provide tissue culture technology that can propagate excellent varieties, including various precious flowers and rare species. We also use stem tip culture technology to mass-produce seedlings of virus-susceptible flower varieties.
- Ploidy breeding. The main categories are haploid and polyploid breeding. With haploid breeding, we can produce dwarf ornamental plants. In addition, haploid breeding can also easily produce pure individuals during chromosome doubling, speeding up ornamental plant breeding. In contrast, polyploid breeding can be applied to improve individual species characteristics, such as breeding new varieties of ornamentals with larger flowers and thicker petals.
- Genetic engineering technology. We offer plant genetic engineering technologies that provide the possibility and technology for the targeted improvement and modification of floral traits. Using gene editing technology, we modify everything from flower color, fragrance, flower shape, plant structure, flowering time, post-harvest longevity, and resistance. Transgenic ornamentals are produced by several different techniques, including Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and particle bombardment.
