The solutions we offer
Our breeding platform
- Hybrid breeding. We provide hybrid breeding to recombine the parents' genes to form various types and provide rich materials for selection. This is the primary way and essential means to create new varieties and types, as well as the main method for the selection and breeding of new flower varieties.
- Tissue culture. We provide tissue culture in flower breeding to overcome the obstacles of distant crosses without affinity. This is to facilitate the long-term preservation of tissue material, shorten the breeding cycle, and to obtain polyploid plants.
- Mutagenesis breeding. The mutation breeding techniques we provide include physical mutation breeding and chemical mutation reproduction. Physical mutation breeding uses radiation treatment to induce complex changes in genetic factors, thereby inducing mutations and improving flowers. Chemical mutagenesis breeding is the use of chemical mutagens to treat plant materials to induce mutations in genetic material. This causes variation in morphological characteristics. The mutations are then identified, bred, selected according to breeding objectives, and eventually bred into new varieties.
- Molecular breeding. We have used genetic engineering technology to introduce genes related to flower color, disease resistance, and insect resistance into plants to obtain several new flower varieties with high disease resistance and high ornamental value, opening new ways for flower variety selection and breeding.
What we offer
- Flower color breeding. By cloning genes related to the anthocyanin synthesis pathway and introducing them into target plant cells, we have obtained new varieties with specific flower colors by breeding. For example, we introduced the DFR gene of Gerbera hybrida into white petunias to obtain red single-copy transgenic petunias.
- Flower type breeding. Flower type is one of the most essential decorative qualities of ornamental flowers. We introduced genes regulating flower development into ornamental flowers using Agrobacterium rhizogenes transformation technology. This can effectively change flower morphology and produce new varieties of ornamental flowers with a richer flower shape and higher ornamental value.
- Fragrance breeding. As one of the essential qualities of ornamental flowers, we can regulate floral fragrance compound synthesis in different flowers through transgenic technology. This will help our customers develop new varieties of ornamental flowers with a more pleasant fragrance.
- Resistance breeding. We use genetic technology to introduce exogenous resistance genes into plants to obtain new varieties with resistance qualities such as cold resistance, drought resistance, disease resistance, and salt resistance.
